GroovePages: A super powerful page builder

I'm using WordPress since I began web development. So, that's now almost eight years. Naturally, I am a WordPress fan.

But then I came across something entirely different. Something that I know is going to change how we build our websites.

Welcome GroovePages

GroovePages is part of a larger suite of tools called GrooveFunnels. GrooveDigital has developed it, a company co-founded by former Kartra and WebinarJam cofounder.

I was already excited to see what this tool has to offer because of the team behind it.

What is GroovePages?

GroovePages is the most advanced and modern website and landing page builder I have ever come across. I have used various page builders of WordPress; then I dabbled in LeadPages, I'm using Kartra for one of my membership sites.

So, I have used almost every tool made for building landing pages and websites. And I can confidently tell you that this tool is going to knock your socks off.

And the good thing is there's a lifetime deal going on GroovePages at the moment.

Instead of telling you the features, I will create one page with you. And then I will give the list of features.

Let's start building

This is the dashboard of GroovePages. As you can see, I have already created one website using GroovePages.

Now, we will click on the New Site, to create the new website or landing page depending upon what you want to build.

As you can see, you can either start from scratch or use ready-to-use templates. So, for the sake of simplicity, we will select the premade template.

Before selecting the template, you can preview the template and check whether it suits your requirements.

Anyway, you can change the template, and add/remove the blocks. But, with ready templates, you get the necessary foundation ready.

Once you select the template, it will open page builder.

On the left-hand side, you have four different buttons

  1. Blocks

  2. Elements

  3. Pages

  4. Popups

Let's see the functionality of each of these blocks.

Blocks

For better understanding, I have created one small video to show you how blocks work.

Blocks, as the name suggests, are the building blocks of your website. The different blocks you can use are our containers, various column layouts, footers, testimonials, download boxes and much more.

There are two types of blocks available in GroovePages. One is designed blocks, which are predesigned blocks with some style applied to them, and the other type is wireframes.

The wireframes are unsettled structures, and you can apply your styles to them.

Elements

If blocks are the foundation columns and beams of your website, elements are the bricks.

There are various elements available in GroovePages, starting from various headings like h1, h2, h3, paragraphs, images, HTML code, video embeds, dividers, lists and forms etc.

Check out the following video to understand the different elements available in GroovePages and how to style them.

Isn't it powerful? The ease with which you can add the different blocks, elements to the page and style them to your requirements.

Pages

The third button is the pages. Here's where GroovePages, sets itself apart from the other page builders.

Because with this feature, you can create multiple pages on the same website.

Check out the video below to understand in a better way.

Inside pages, you can change the title of the page, change the URL, add Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel and any other script that you want to use.

Isn't it fantastic?

Popups

Popups play an essential role when you are building landing pages or other web pages where you want some kind of conversion to happen.

Again check out the following video and understand how you can use the popups.

With GroovePages creating different types of popups is pretty straightforward. You can create a standard popup, an entry popup or an exit popup.

You can choose the pages on which you want to display the popup, the delay and the display condition.

And as you can see from the video, even designing the popup is pretty simple.

What about making the pages responsive?

Mobile-first is the mantra we live by. So, if your page builder is not providing any option to make the pages responsive and compatible with different devices, then that's going to be a big problem.

With GroovePages, you can easily edit your website and make sure it looks pixel-perfect on all devices.

Watch the following video to understand how we can make our pages responsive.

Again, GroovePages makes it so easy for you to make your website responsive.

How to deploy the site?

With GroovePages, you have three options for deploying the pages or your website. Let's see what they are

  1. Deploy with GroovePages subdomain

  2. Use your custom domain and point it to GroovePages

  3. Export the site and get the HTML files which you can upload to your server. No other configurations. No other gimmicks.

Deploy with GroovePages subdomain

This is the easiest option available to you. But not many will use it because we want our landing pages and websites on our custom domain.

But check out the video below which shows how you can publish your page on the GroovePages subdomain.

Point your custom domain to GroovePages

Use this option if you want your pages to be hosted on GroovePages, and you just want to point your domain to GroovePages.

My other site, 7 Days Blog Challenge, is using this option. This is the most preferred option, and if you don't want to spend money on buying your hosting, then this is the perfect option.

Check out the screenshot below. The only thing that you have to do is change your CNAME record, which is pretty simple and if you don't know how to do it, you can just open a support ticket with your domain provider and give them the instructions, they will do it for you.

Export the site and upload it to your server

This is one of the fascinating options available with GroovePages. You can get simple HTML files which you can upload on your server using simple FTP and be done with it.

Simply click on the Export site option.

See, this is how you get the HTML file.

I have uploaded this file to my server. Click here to see the site.

This is how simple it is to deploy your site. There's no one option but three different options.

How are you feeling now? :D

But, what about page speed?

Watch the following video, where I test the speed of the website I just uploaded on Pingdom Tools.

Just 557ms took to load the site.

But this is for the test web page. What about the live website?

So, as I said, my 7 Days Blog Challenge is hosted on GroovePages. The following screenshot shows the results of Pingdom Tools.

Aren't the results noticeable?

Just to compare, I am attaching results for this site ppsakhadeo.com which is built on WordPress, using Elementor and Astra and hosted on Flywheel. So, I am not using any cheap hosting.

The results are not bad in any way. Getting a page load time of 2.58s is pretty impressive, but GroovePages goes above and beyond.

Why is GroovePages so fast?

The issue with page builders like funnel builders like Kartra, or ClickFunnels is that whenever the pages are rendered the database is called. So, naturally, the page speed is affected. On the other hand, GroovePages, render plain simple HTML.

So, there are no database queries or anything like that. It's a simple HTML that's rendered.

Don't get me wrong, Kartra and ClickFunnels are wonderful tools. And I'm using Kartra for a year now. There's been no issue except page speed.

But, GroovePages simply takes it to another level.

Can it replace WordPress?

There was an era of plug-and-play templates, then came the era of page builders, and then WordPress came up with its in-house page builder, Gutenberg.

Right now, page builders like Elementor and Beaver Builder are ruling the WordPress ecosystem.

But during these eight years of my web development career, I have faced multiple issues when I use WordPress to build my landing pages. I have even written one article on whether WordPress is good for building landing pages or not.

Issues like slow load times, clunky themes, and inadequate support for page builder cripples WordPress. And unless you're using a good hosting provider and quality themes and plugins, things can go south pretty quickly.

Only the upper hand WordPress has now is its blogging capability. But GroovFunnels is coming with GrooveBlog. So, in due course, that won't be an issue.

And there is a good chance that GroovePages can replace even WordPress.

Conclusion

GroovePages is a game-changer. And with the lifetime deal going on at the moment, you should take the opportunity and signup for it. I have already done it, and I couldn't have been happier.
